Father's Day

This is what Jim spent his Father's day afternoon doing . . . well, ok, part of it at least. I'm not sure I like the rocks underneath the hammock though, I would prefer grass, it would be a softer landing if it fell.

Jay was enjoying being the big cousin, they were so facinated by everything he did, and he got a real kick out of the fact that Gavin copied everything he did.

Jay and Gavin trying out the new hammock! Gavin looks a little uneasy . . .

Haley with her first gymnastics class!

What a GREAT Father's Day we had!!

HI-YA!

On Friday June 16th Jay had his test for his yellow belt, he was so excited! I have never been more proud of my boy, he did awesome and passed!

Here he is showing us his best low punch, Great form!

Spring has Sprung and Summers on it's way!

This is our backyard!

Jim built the bench and planter boxes for me last year, I plant my tomatoes in them and we have a small grape plant in there to grow up the lattice. Right now though there are potato vines growing on it.

Our grass is finally starting to grow in nicely, this spring we spread out 12 yards of new topsoil in the front and in the back. What a lot of work! Thank goodness we had a lot of help from Eryn, Megan, and Rick. I think it may have killed Jim and I if we would have had to do it on our own.
My back fence is sure growing like crazy to, when we moved in here a year ago those vines were hardly growing and now they are almost covering up the whole fence, which I guess is the point.

We also added onto our deck this year and opened up the backyard a bit. I have to admit that when Jim suggested it I didn't really want to do it because I just couldn't picture how it would look and thought it just wasn't worth the trouble. I'm very happy though that he talked me into it because it looks wonderful!

This year I have discovered wave patunias, I love patunias! I think they are so pretty and their perfect for my front yard. They like full sun and can handle a little drought, so when I forget to water them for a few days they won't die. Last year I had a basket with pansies in it and they died almost before summer started. This basket just keeps getting bigger and bigger! I LOVE IT!!!

The Wild Bunnies

Here is a picture of one of the six baby bunnies that Jim brought home from work last week. (he accidently wrecked their home with his machine) This one Jay named Zipper because he was the most active of the bunch.

After much research as to how old these tiny little things were I discovered they were already 6 weeks old and ready to be on their own, so last wed. we took them out to Ballam Rd. on Fairfield Island to release them.

It was kind of bitter sweet to let them go, Jay didn't think they were ready yet but with a little coaxing he let Zipper go, to his delight the bunnies were thrilled to be out in the wild again.

What a fun experience for the kids!!

I Just Love Them!

My birthday Present from Jim!

A new washer and dryer!! These things are so cool and are going to save us a ton of money on our hydro and water bills.

Four Generations

This picture was taken at Haley's DARE graduation, it's not the clearest picture but I tryed to fix it the best I could.
