The Wax Museum

Wow they looked so real!
I think Haley thought they were going to reach out and touch her. I have to admit that I thought the same thing with one or two the statues. But she particularly like the dog in this one. It reminded her of her friends dog Tonka.

My favorite part of the museum was the Royal family. It was like seeing them in person.

Jay was so excited to recognize the statue of Terry Fox. When you looked really close to the statue you could even see the sweat on his brow!

The Last Supper, they decribed each person in the picture and what biblically happened before and after the supper and the role that each person played. I thought it was very cool that this one was part of the museum! Great for the kids to see and hear!
There was also the scary part of the tour but the pictures are to gross to put in here you'll have to go there and see them for yourself.
The Parliment Buildings

We thought we would show the kids the Parliment buildings. They had never seen anything like it and thought it was amazing.
Here's Jay getting the lay of the land!

Haley spotted these 2 ducks resting in the shade and tryed to get closer to them very stealth like I might add but to no avail. They scurried off. I guess kids make them nervous...gee I wonder why?

Awww! They really do love each other!
You'd never guess that there is 2 1/2 years between them. Jay's almost the same size as his sister! My 2 babies...their getting so big! I don't know who told them that they could do that but I didn't!
The Babysitter

My Aunt found us this wonderful babysitter so that we could bring the kids with us to the island and still be able to go to the party. Her name was Michele and she came with this bag of all kinds of thing to entertain the kids! I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I have to say that if we lived there I would definitely hire her again. The kids said that she was nice and fun which are two things hard to find in a sitter.
Oak Bay Horbour
On Sunday morning we went to Oak Bay Harbour. Mom had told us the night before about the seals and the kids wanted to go see them. I couldn't believe how these seals behaved, if you didn't feed them fast enough they would splash you with their fins. Haley and Jay thought this was great! I didn't though since I was the one that got all wet! The seals were eating little peices of frozen fish that you could buy at the bait shop for $1.95. Cheap entertainment!
I think Jay wanted to bring one of them home, but I had to say no to that one. I figure 1 dog, 1 cat and a rabbit is enough. But what a fun time! I wish we could have stayed there longer.
